Totally forgot to mention... had a great, filling dinner from Maggiano's Little Italy tonight for my friend Mike's 22nd birthday. He was one of the two friends that got beat up and sent to the hospital, mind you.. so he really deserved a nice celebration with his good friends and immediate family. I'd also like to add that I think his parents are some of the nicest, most open-minded parents I've come to meet. Not your typical overly-paranoid, overly-protective parents that think they're doing you a favor by "locking" you behind invisible prison bars. Obviously prevention means it what insinuates... NOT DOING ANYTHING. Getting out there and learning and experiencing life is more productive than preventing yourself from learning how to deal with real-life situations. Isn't it? I don't see how staying cooped up inside or being at work all the time to eliminate any "free time" that could potentially mean putting yourself in danger would eliminate that danger. Crimes.. any type.. hate or whatever can happen anytime, anywhere. Even when you're working in the most "innocent" area possible. Boooooo. But yah. Straying off there. Happy Birthday Mike.. love you!
